My Favorite Face Makeup By: Laura Geller
By WhiteOak
Why did I choose a Rose for this page?
Makeup is something that I take very seriously. It is something that I believe many women do actually. Nobody wants to take hours putting on makeup and especially do not want to reapply it fifteen times each day. Each woman looks for something unique about makeup, it has to feel a certain way, it has to have great coverage, but most importantly; you do not want to feel like you are wearing a pound of products on your face.
I choose this Rose photo as my introduction picture because using Laura Geller Makeup makes the skin on my face feel like the velvet texture of this flower. Hard to believe isn't it? But it is the truth, so I wanted to share a little about my own experiences using this makeup.
I have been involved with makeup since early childhood. No, I have never wore a lot I just like teaching others how to apply it and how to use as little as possible to achieve a natural look. I am not sure how I have learned about makeup, in an odd way it is like my art again something I just do.
I introduced my mother to makeup way back in the day. And all of these years later she is still wearing it. To me, Makeup is a tool to help enhance your nature beauty, and Laura Gellers makeup does just that.
Let's start with the basic
How many times have you wasted money on foundations that are the wrong color, do not give you the correct coverage or makes your skin feel too oily, too dry or runs all over the place? Worst yet having to reapply it several times a day. There are so many more important things to do instead of applying makeup all of the time.
For me makeup is suppose to enhance the natural beauty of a person's face. It is suppose to highlight the special features everyone of us has. It needs to be soft, delicate and just so-so. Although I have been able to achieve this with other makeup, since using Laura Geller's makeup something has changed. I believe it could be the way she has created her makeup? It is baked in terra-cotta pots in Italy for 24 hours. When you apply it, it is creamy but yet it is a powder.
The swirls of color corrective pigments in the Balance and Brighten and the Bronze-n-Brighten helps aid in correcting skin imperfections that you may have. The coverage is fantastic, light and feels like velvet on your skin.
The older we get the more our skin changes. The sun damage will begin to show signs in our skin, we will get brown spots, a lot of discoloration and sometimes even develop different skin conditions.
There is something magical about the way Laura Geller created her products. When you first look at the makeup and see all of these swirls of colors, you wonder how in the world it works on your skin. But each pigment does it duty and corrects the discolorations with ease.

Spackle Face Primer
A MUST have is the Spackle face primer!
The older we get the more our skin dries out. It is a proven fact and there is no running from it. I simply will not use a 100 different products to cleanse my face, nor apply a 100 different products to correct the imperfections on my face. That is only one reason why I love Spackle Face Primer. You apply it over your moisturizer and it helps to seal in the moisture. Cool, isn't it! I know that Laura Geller sells Eye Primer, Lip Primer, Face Primer and so on, but I use this one product for all of it. I am not recommending you do the same thing, I mean I am sure there is a reason for all of the other primers also, I just have not tried them.
Spackle is made from Aloe Vera and other botanical extracts, including white tea for its antioxidants properties. It helps in retexturizing your skin surface making it feel silky smooth and when you put on your foundation, it just glides across your skin.
One of the best things about this product besides how wonderful your skin will feel is it only takes a little bit to cover your face. Now I use it on my neck also. I would love it if they sold it in gallons, I would probably use it all over. Goodness, this stuff is great!
Laura Geller's Primer is the first one I have ever used. I truly fell in love with the first time I tried it. As I mentioned above, you place it over your regular moisturizer and it helps to seal in moisture. Now, recently I started using it my neck as well. Again, the older we get the skin EVERYWHERE changes and if you take a little moisturizer and put it on your neck, than apply a tiny amount of primer, you will be able to notice a difference.
Don't get me wrong, I know they sell special creams for the neck and so on, but I have found that my regular moisturizer with the primer works good, plus it is cheaper, and it makes more sense to me to be able to use ONE product for more than one thing.
