Are you a Coupon Clipper?

Devoted Coupon Clipper
I have to admit, I have been a coupon clipper for many years. Unfortunately, there have been times I fell off the wagon and neglected the project but soon got back on track.
In today's economy I feel it is almost a "have to" clip coupons in order to stretch a dollar as far as we can. I am always searching for new coupon sites and ways to save money on grocery shopping online.
This page is about things I have found so far and most of all have been pretty successful. Coupon Clipping really acts as a duel purpose: we can save money and we have the opportunity to stock pile our groceries in case of an emergency.

Free Online Coupons
At first I was not too thrilled about printing coupons online. My first thought process was, "That is going to use a lot of ink and ink cartridges are not cheap!" So I began to weigh out the options and have found that I actually can save more money by only printing out the coupons I use. So like everything else, if you are careful and plan your printing correctly, you will come out okay financially with the ink cartridges vs. printing out coupons online.
When you print coupons online, somehow they are all linked together and will only allow you to print so many of the same coupon. (It does not matter how many coupons sites you belong too, it will show up when you have reached your print limit on a particular coupon.)
Here are a few of my favorite sites to print coupons:
One of the things I always watch closely for now (in the past I have made mistakes by printing coupons that ended up wasted) is when the coupon is only good if you purchase 2 or more of that product. There are a lot of times when I do not want to purchase two of a product or I do not need to purchase two.
All in all though, now I print coupons a good bit. I can say this: Being a coupon clipper is like having a part job! By the time you search for the coupons, print them, sort them and file them than go through them making out your grocery list it is just like a part time job.
You can be pretty creative with this part job though-I will share more a little later about that.
SavingStar on Facebook
When I found SavingStar it was by pure accident. I was searching online for a particular coupon and seen that SavingStar was on FaceBook so I went there to check it out.
SavingStar is an online ecoupon site. They have a list of ecoupons on their site, you go through them and activate the ones you want; enter your Grocery Store saving card codes (most stores have saving cards these days), to go that store and purchase the product. SavingStar is notified when you make the purchase and they pay you the value of that ecoupon. Once you have accumulated $5.00 in your account, SavingStar will send you that payment via Paypal. It sounds a little too good to be true doesn't it? I have already collected two different payouts in my paypal account.
SavingStar is one of the most friendly sites I have been too. I like them so much that when I carry my list to the grocery store and notice other coupon shoppers, I give them SavingStar's site information so they can join it also.
Newspaper Coupons
In the area I live (believe this or not) they do not deliver the Sunday papers. So in order to get coupons from the Sunday paper, we have to go up to the store early because they sell out so fast. Often we will purchase double newspapers in order to get more coupons.
One of the hardest things to do today is SAVE money. I personally have tried several different things none of them being very successful. Recently what I have decided to do is write a check for the amount of coupons I have saved and I try to tuck that money away. I will write the check each time I go to the grocery store and cash the check the next pay day and save it. Having that tiny bit of money tucked away for a cushion is a fantastic feeling. If you run short one week and need gas money or you need a little cash for an emergency you have this tiny little savings that came directly from your part-time job as a coupon clipper!
How many of your grocery stores have double coupons (and sometimes triple coupons)? One of the grocery stores I shop at always has double coupons up to $0.50. I look at that like a free 50 cents (which can add up).
One of my most favorite things to do is use coupons on SALE items! Just this morning I used a coupon for a product that was on sale and the coupon was for more than the sale price of the item I purchased (this does not happen often). So actually for this particular item, the store gave me $0.11 that is pretty cool, huh?
Many of your grocery stores will send you an email each week on items they have on sale so making out your grocery can be a little easy. Plus you can go through your coupons and match them up with sale items in order to save even more money.
I hope you have found some things in this article helpful and it makes you start thinking about becoming a coupon clipper. I promise this part-time job can be very rewarding if you stick with it.
Do you clip coupons?

I have been doing a coupon search online this morning and found many great things to help save money. I just found a coupon deal for International Coffee Creamer for $0.55 off a bottle of it.
I also going through a ton of sites, I have found that if you go to the CVS site and register your CVS card, they will send you a coupon to use for $4.00 off a $20.00 purchase. With Christmas so close, if you go to CVS coupons they have two different coupons for greeting cards: 1 is for $3.00 off Hallmark Cards if you purchase (3) and the other one is $2.00 off American Greetings Cards if you purchase (3). Match these coupons with the $4.00 off for registering and that is a $6.00-$7.00 dollars savings!
Here is a Coupon Data Base at CouponMom.com If you type in a product the data base will search for that product. I typed in Maxwell House Coffee because CVS has it on sale this week but there was not a coupon for it. BUT I did get a coupon for International Coffee which I love to drink on cold winter days.

Thanks for all the references. I am a coupon clipper, but I am not very disciplined about having them with me when I shop. I think your article just might help me out with this. Great job Eva!
