WhiteOak

I am Eva aka WhiteOak and I am a multimedia artist. I call myself a multimedia artist because since early childhood I have been involved with some kind of art. I started out drawing with charcoal pencils in school, along with working with clay.  I have worked with pen & ink, paints, watercolor, hard and soft pastels and sketching.  I also love to write and do a lot of it.  Writing (as with my artwork) has always been a very important outlet for me to release bottled up emotions.  By writing I am able to learn and understand things a lot better that goes on around me. One community I write at is Squidoo.  You can see a sample of my writing here:  WhiteOak’s Writing

Back in 2006 my husband introduced me to art that you can do on the computer.  I use several different programs to generate one picture.  I won my first award and cash prize at an Art Exhibition in Northeast, Georgia in 2007 and in 2009 my dream came true by becoming a published artist.  When a publication company approached me about a piece of my artwork that an author wanted to use in a “Spiritual” Deck of cards, I believe I cried because that was my dream in full-to have my artwork noticed for the spiritual content. Since then I have created two separate book covers. One has already been published and the other is in the works.

In 2008, I fell in love with photography! I have such a huge love for the beauty in Nature that I wanted to see if I could capture a small part of it for other’s to enjoy. In most of my pictures no matter which form of art I am doing, Nature and its beauty has always been my biggest inspiration. I can see beauty in some of the oddest things, which you can see in a few of my pictures, but isn't that what art is about? The world through the lens of a camera is unbelievable.  It actually can become a completely different world-a world through your eyes that can actually be viewed by someone else. Does that make sense? Recently, I opened a Zazzle Gallery dedicated just to my photography, you can visit it at: WhiteOak’s Photography

You can also see many of my links at RedGage   RedGage gives you the power to share your blogs, pictures, videos, documents, and links all in one convenient place. But, the most exciting part is RedGage is a website that pays you for the content you create.  So actually linking your hubs to RedGage would be a win-win situation.
